My most precious partner and co-laborer in the Gospel,
I’m writing this to you from the depth of my heart to say thank you for all you have done for us and for our precious Jesus, whom we love with all of our being.
I feel deeply in my spirit from the Lord to write this to you. I request you to allow me to approach to you with this type of document. You know that work of the Lord is not just talking only it is doing also. And you have stood with me through thick and thin over the years. For that I thank you with all my heart.
I know the Lord of glory will reward you Himself again and again for your love toward Him. I do need your kindness and favor once again. I’m coming to you today with an urgent need. There is no way I can go. As you know, I come to you only if I feel the urgent necessity. I want to thank you for allowing me to share what the Lord has put in my heart.
I am challenged to rise up 12330 US dollar to pay the price of a land in Urlabari-2, Morang where we are praying and planning to build up a home for orphans and widows. We made contract with the land owner and we have already paid $2740 as an advance pledge and we do still need $9590 to clear the due. Final Dateline for payment is 31st December 2010 and we have to pay them on monthly installment. The lord has told us as a Christian nothing but to care for the ‘orphans and widows’. This led us to have a house where needy people such as orphans and widows would be sheltered and raise up to serve the Lord. “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”James 1: 27.
I had hoped and prayed that the need would be met without my coming to you, but I found that the offerings and special donation from the churches here would not cover 9590 $, so, if I don’t come to you and tell you the facts, there will be no way for us to find out. I am little and unworthy servant of God and I can’t say I can do everything by myself. I need your prayer and I do need your support. This orphanage needs you.
I know $9590 sounds like a large amount, but it really isn’t if we all do our part and it can be taken care of easily and quickly. God promises us that‘ Give and it shall be given unto you,’ Luke 6: 38. I personally also believe that when we give to orphanage we are giving to God.
Economy has been down in most of the countries. Yet, I know that the Lord whom we serve will do again what He has done in our lives. He will take care of this need so that His name might continue to be proclaimed among the nations. I believe that the gospel is not just talking, some time it is doing also. Let us not hardened our hearts against the poor, orphans and the widows. The precious word of God tells us that ‘Ye shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child’ but ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
You had been so generous in the past by praying and supporting us. As my dearest partner and co-laborer, in the body of Christ, I ask you to please pray and consider showing the best seed you can, so that we might shelter and feed the fatherless and the widows. Let us defend the poor and the fatherless. Psalms 82: 3.
Any amount you give is appreciated more than you know. I believe that bond of trust and faith is stronger than signed contract. Remember this blessed promise of Scripture: “God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work,” (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Thank you so much for your love and for showing your generosity and continued unending kindness for the work of the Lord in Nepal. May Jesus, the Son of God, who has called us to serve Him and to serve together, bless you from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. May He reward you over and over for your faithfulness. It would be a real encouragement to hear from you.
I pray from the depth of my being that He will meet every need in your life and give you “peace that passeth all understanding” (Philippians 4:7).
With much love
Pastor Reuben Rai
